About

Sainath Saraban is a creative director, brand storyteller and the founder of Simple. He spent over 20 years with JWT, McCann-Erickson and Leo Burnett, working on some of the world’s largest brands. Sai always believed that there was a better way to enhance the creative process. This he did by establishing Simple, where he has done away with hefty agency relationships and operational complexities in order to focus on what matters most – simple, human storytelling brought to life through a curated network of collective talent.

Why

We truly are simple.

We work with the best.

We work fast.

We are global and local.

We don’t believe in layers, designations, complex processes and shiny objects. From the moment we accept an assignment, we focus on working towards bringing the right team on board that then help us getting to the emotional epicenter of the story and then collectively progress towards creating a story we will all be proud of. Keeping it lean is our superpower.

One of the things we take most seriously is casting the right people for the job. It doesn’t matter how big or small the project is. For the ‘Thums Up Charged’ project, we worked with an award winning Austrian director, a renowned cinematographer who is Ridley Scott’s frequent collaborator, a cutting edge post-production team from Prague that worked on ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and a music director who is known for his new age sounds in India. The film went on to garner over a 100 million views across all social media platforms. Alternatively, for ‘Paro’ we brought in an A-list crew from India that agreed to work on a shoestring budget because they believed in the story. It was shot in Kolkata over three days, post-produced in Mumbai and a live orchestra played the background score. The film was finalist at Cannes 2018, in the ‘Film Craft’ category.

Time is of the essence and these days impatience is a virtue. Understanding the idea, creating a memorable story world and executing it with the best people possible quickly is what sets us apart. But the one thing we won’t compromise on is quality.

We pride ourselves on being able to create global stories with local relevance and vice versa. Our partners across the world help make this possible by bringing a sense of diversity, perspective and texture to everything that we do.
